From her school days, Shivangi Purohit is writing blogs at Writer Shivangi’s purohit blog and for various newspapers. Born on 19 December 1999 she got her first book published at a very early age of seventeen, Saraswati, in January 2017. Shivangi purohit gets inspiration from Premchand, Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay, and Chandra Kiran Sonrexa.

Shivangi proved herself a fearless writer when she got her second book published in January 2018 based on the reservation and caste system in India named Aarakshan: 70 saal’, which also got published in English as ‘The Reservation: 70 years’. Usually, writers hesitate to write on this issue but she had shown the guts. She had written this book after one year of research.
‘Saanjhi….. Ek Adhoori Kahani’ is her third book published in January 2019, which is about a girl named Saanjhi, about Saanjhi’s struggle, she fell in love at the age of 16-17 years and how her life got ruined. Her fourth book is ‘Cutting Chai’ which got published in September 2019. Raksha Purohit is the co-author of this book. In this book, she had expressed her feelings while composing poems and is also a collection of her poems.
‘Kuch Toh Log Kahenge’ is a collection of five stories; ‘Kya Kahenge Log’, ‘Kota Lines’, ‘Wrong Number’, ‘Female Thug’ and ‘Adhure Khwab’.
Her upcoming publication is ‘Jail Diary’ which is a novel based on various problems of life and this book may be used as a self-help book.
ABOUT SHIVANGI PUROHIT
She is from Pipariya, Hoshangabad, Madhya Pradesh. She did her graduation from P.G. College, Pipariya affiliated with Barkatullah University, Bhopal in economics, sociology, and political science. She is interested in cooking and reading books. Her father is a teacher and her mother passed away when she was 03 years old. She also writes poems in her blog, Facebook account, and newspapers.
Initially, she faced difficulty in publishing her book. She got her first and second book published from Anuradha Prakashan, who have demanded more than one lakh rupees from her for publishing and even didn’t helped her in selling the books. They even didn’t give her the royalty amount. Then she decided to change her publisher and the next two books were published by Sanmati Publishers and Distributors.
She received many awards and honors in literature and became Youth Face of India in 2019. We hope that she will further touch the heights of success and wish her good luck for her recent publication ‘Jail Diary’.
